"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" – John 3:16
With my passion for taking photos of Anna, I have started a photography course for parents. Our first lesson was about focus and light. We were given an assignment to take five photos in different rooms in the house. These are the five photos I chose with some comments from the teacher. They were all taken using my Canon 100D with the 18-55mm lense and P mode.
1. Living room
This is a good photo except that the sharp focus is slightly off. Instead of being on her eyes, it lands on her hand holding the toothbrush.
2. Dining room
I took a few photos of Anna playing the keyboard. This photo is interesting to me because it looks like she is really into her playing. However, it turns out to have a rather confusing focus. It doesn’t focus on her face because she was blurred out. If it meant to focus on her fingers and the keyboard, we could hardly see much of them in this photo.
She has a very nice expression in this photo. The light is good. But the focus is slightly off as it is on her hands. It would be better if the focus is on her eyes.
4. Guest bedroom
This photo received good feedback. There is a balance between Anna and the background. The light and focus are just right.
5. Main bedroom
This photo has a nice angle with the right light direction. However the bunny stops the light and creates shade on her face.
I really need to work on the focus of the photos and ask myself what I want to show in the photo.
